The mountain is often used as warm-up hiking in preparation for the Kilimanjaro. However, the technical requirements are greater on Mount Meru than on the Kilimanjaro Routes. On the four-day trekking tour, you are more than likely to see giraffes, buffalos, antelopes and baboons; therefore, a park ranger will accompany you for your safety.<\/p><p>Mt. Meru is situated in the core of Arusha National Park and it is 50 miles west of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Mount Meru is a monstrous well of lava achieving 14,980 feet (4,565 meters). This trek fills in as a perfect get ready for Mt. Kilimanjaro because of its altitude acclimatization and climbing separations.
